Venice Romantic Tour with Taxi Boat Transfer

On this 8-hour private tour, enjoy the opportunity to explore Venice's enchanting atmosphere and savor a magical dinner in the most romantic city in the world. After hotel pickup in Verona, transfer to Venice island by private vehicle then to St. Mark's Square by private boat. You will have about 4 hours of free time to stroll the main square and small passages on your own, and have dinner in a renowned restaurant suggested by the driver. A tour guide is not included.

You will be picked up by your driver at 4pm and transferred to Venice. Once there, you will get to the Venice lagoon on private taxi boat while admiring a marvelous sunset on your way to St. Mark's Square.

Upon arrival, you are free to explore the impressive square at your leisure, savor tasty 'aperitivi' under the 'Vecchie Procuratie' arches, or stand in front the majestic facade of St. Mark’s Basilica. Admire the precious marble, splendid mosaics and famous bronze statues of the Four Horses on the front of the church. These statues were placed on the facade after the sack of Constantinople in 1204.

Next to the church, there is one of the most recognizable symbols of the city - the St. Mark’s bell tower, which was used as a watch tower for the docks. Nowadays, it is possible to climb the tower and enjoy a stunning view of the city.

Some other notable sites you may not want to miss are the easily-recognizable big clock, made of mosaic with gold stars glittering against a blue background. The two bronze Moors on the terrace that strike the bell to mark the hours were cast by Paolo Ranieri during its construction.

You may want to savor a romantic dinner in a renowned Venice restaurant where only the best local dishes are served (own expense). In the evening, rejoin your driver for the return trip to your hotel in Verona.
