Mt.Kitadake, at an altitude of 3,193 meters, takes second place in Japan for highest summit, following Mt.Fuji. Its iconic triangular shape makes it the principal of the Japan Minami (Southern) Alps Mountains.Many hikers long for standing on the top one day.

The climbing route is quite hard with and uphill.But the adorable alpine flowers blooming along the trail will cheer you up! Above the forest line, there is nothing in your way or block your sight.You can enjoy walking in the heavenly skies with panoramic view on a clear day.

Itinerary

----- Day 1 -----
(Depart at Tokyo (Shinjuku) and 1 hour 30 minutes by railway.)
13:00 Meet up at Kofu station.
15:00 Arrive at Ashiyasu (by local bus).
Lodging at Natoriya Inn
----- Day 2 -----
5:30 Start at Ashiyasu
6:30 Arrive at Hirogawara (by local bus) & commence trail.
12:00 Reach Happomba Kold & lunch break.
14:30 Arrive at Kitadake sanso.
Lodging at Kitadake sanso Hut
----- Day 3 -----
5:30 Start at Kitadake sanso.
7:00 The top of Mt.Kita.
10:30 Reach Shirane Oike koya.
12:30 Return to Hirogawara.
15:00 Arrive back to Kofu station.
