Stop At: Iwasaki Art Museum, 3755 Junicho, Ibusuki 891-0403 Kagoshima Prefecture

In a corner of the Ibusuki Iwasaki Hotel is an art museum displaying the collection of Yohachiro Iwasaki.

In addition to works by Kuroda Seiki, Seiji Togo, and other Kagoshima-born artists, the collection also includes paintings from around the world dating from the late 19th century to today.

The museum also boasts a rich array of paintings, Nihonga (Japanese-style paintings), and calligraphy drawings by Japanese artists.

Stop At: Nagasakibana Parking Garden, 1571-1 Yamakawaokajikemizu, Ibusuki 891-0513 Kagoshima Prefecture

Is a cape that protrudes to the southernmost tip of the Satsuma Peninsula. Is to the west of Cape followed by a bow-shaped sandy beach, we Kaimondake is towering in the end. On a sunny day, you can wish to Yakushima-Takeshima, Iwo Jima to the south of the sea. In the corner of the promenade, Kuhi of Hosaku Shinohara has built. Adjacent rusty water nose is the northernmost areas of the cycad native, it has been designated a special natural monument of the country.

Ikeda Lake, is the largest caldera lake in Kyushu around 15km · water depth of 233m. Lake is clear, and go to indigo blue, and views of the Kaimondake called Fuji Satsuma. And inhabit a large eel body length 2m · girth 50cm, it is also famous as a lake of vision of monster "Issy".

Stop At: Chiran Peace Museum, 17881 Chirancho Kori, Minamikyushu 897-0302 Kagoshima Prefecture

Chiran Peace Museum exhibits many articles and portfolios left by the deceased soldiers who fought for Japan during the final moments of World War II. The last battle took place in Okinawa. The bloodshed was unprecedented in the Japanese war effort up to that point. The soldiers represented in the Museum died as Army tokkō pilots of special attack forces. The accumulation of the many articles which are exhibited in here today are due to the assistance of many friends and relatives of these deceased pilots. It was the relative's mission to ensure that the sacrifices made by each pilot would never be forgotten. The pilot's last wish was that Japan would be peaceful and prosperous once more. Today Japan is very prosperous. We should be grateful to the pilots for this.

Chiran Peace Museum has been built to commemorate the pilots and expose the tragic loss of their lives so that we may understand the need for everlasting peace and ensure such incidents are never repeated. That is now our responsibility.

Stop At: Chiran Samurai Residence Garden, 6198 Kori, Chinan-cho, Minamikyushu 897-0302 Kagoshima Prefecture

Nicknamed the "Little Kyoto of Satsuma", Chiran is home to more than 500 samurai residences during the late Edo period (19th century).

As the original buildings of the complex are well-preserved, one can get to witness a real, Edo Period Samurai settlement here.

The charm of the Chiran Samurai Residence Complex lies in the 700m stonewall-lined paths, the scattered Samurai houses and the beautifully landscaped gardens within.
