You will not only learn how to best enjoy fresh seafood and Kaga vegetables the Kanazawa way, but will be able to do so in a traditional machiya house that is filled with history. Experience this course and learn how to make authentic ‘dashi’ stock, traditional Kanazawa dishes, and more that you can recreate back home.

Also through quick tour of Japanese traditional town house, you will feel and see local lifestyle in Japan.

Learn how to make authentic Kanazawa meals inspired by seasonal ingredients picked up at Omicho Market which is a large outdoor fish and produce market, and where the locals head to when there are looking for the freshest ingredients.
Our resident IN KANAZAWA HOUSE cooking expert has created this experience to teach you the wonders of Kanazawa through its unique food culture.
Details of your cooking experience will differ depending on the date, and season. Your cooking experience will consist of either the 1) Tempura Cooking Experience, or 2) Sushi-Making Experience. Please contact our staff for more information.

Using seasonal seafood and vegetables, learn how to make authentic tempura dishes. Your course will also include a lesson on how to make Japanese-style egg omelette (tamagoyaki), a Kanazawa-style earthen-pot dish and 1 traditional home-style Kanazawa dish. (Total = 4 dishes)
