Tonkatsu is a Japanese style deep-fried pork breaded cutlet. Two types of meats are normally used to make Tonkatsu - fillet and loins. Usually Tonkatsu is served with shredded cabbage, miso soup, and rice. 

Tonkatsu is also used for different kinds of Japanese dishes, such as Katsu-don, rice bowl with slices of pork cutlet on top with egg. Other dishes are Tonkatsu-curry, Katsu-sando (Tonkatsu Sandwich). 

Tonkatsu is definitely a must-try dish while you are in Japan.
