Let’s make your original stamp with your name in Chinese characters, in luxury atmosphere surrounded by historical paintings, books and ceramics.

Seal Engraving is originally a culture from China B.C., to carve characters on stones. Zen Master Dokuryu Shoeki has brought it to Japan during late Ming Dynasty.

You do not have to worry even you do not know how to write one or which character to pick since Seal Engraving expert will teach you from the beginning. You may rely even for difficult finishing work.
Stamp you create can be used right away of course you may bring them home with you.

Let’s experience Seal Engraving of great Zen Master Dokuryu Shoeki, in Gokyo Bunko Museum surrounded by beautiful work of art, after crossing Kintaikyo-Bridge.

Itinerary

You can enjoy to make your original stamp with your name.Make a seal with your name in Chinese characters.
Carve by tracing lines with seal-engraving knife.
You can also enjoy paintings and ceramics exhibits.
Since it is delicate work, please bring glasses or contact lens if you wear one. There is rental zoom lens which can be worn on top of your glasses.
In Japan, this activity have been enjoyed by over the age of 6 with observation of parents, if you have any needs, please do not hesitate to ask us.
