【Relaxing bike ride in the countryside】

Why don’t you take a bike ride with us and see the local spots where you would never reach without the local guide?

We provide you the lightweight sports-hybrid bikes which are always kept in great condition.Our tour normally goes around 25kilometers in 4 hours and half a hour.The ride is on relaxing pace with some breaks. We start cycling in a city called Odawara which is located under the beautiful view of Mt.Fuji and the city faces the vast Pacific Ocean.The city is famous for historical Odawara Castle. Despite the city is just 30 minutes away from Tokyo by Shinkansen the bullet train, it features the historical constructions and the nature of typical Japanese country side such a Japanese-styled old house surrounded by rice field.

From the bottom of our hearts, we really want to share our local history and nature with you through our cozy bike ride in the country side out of Tokyo.

【Easy access to get to Odawara from Tokyo】

This experience is in Odawara and the small neighbourhoods around the city, not in the Tokyo metro area. If you take a Shinkansen the bullet train, it is just about 25minutes from the central Tokyo.And if you stay around Shinjuku, there is an express train of Odakyu line which take you to Odawara station from Shinjuku station in 1 hour and a quarter. The meeting point is our office which is located five-minute walk away from Odawara station.

【Location and Route】

We start cycling from our home city Odawara, in the western part of Kanagawara prefecture, 80 kilometers away from central Tokyo.The city features variety kinds of attractions,  please show up to our office at 8:50, and we start a bike ride along a relaxing Sakawa River enjoying the view of Mount Fuji on sunny days and local nature, such as the flowers and rice fields. The route after hitting the riverside can partly vary with the season and the weather. We always try to pick up the best route to enjoy the local attractions from such as the local market, the Japanese old house, or Odawara Castle.

The bike tour is about 25km to 30 km(15 to18miles) in total.Wherever the course goes, we definitely take you to the spot where you can see Mt. Fuji, but it depends on the clouds and the weather if you are able to admire it. we go with relaxing pace and it’s flat. Pease enjoy the cozy bike ride that you wouldn’t experience in the busy cities, it is only here.

【Sample Intinerary】Route Changeable

Briefing at Our Office(at 9:00) →River→Market→Sports Park aside River→Japanese Old House→Same Way back to Office(arrive at arround 1:30 to 2pm)

【Instruction of bike ride】

Please have a breakfast before we start as the biking requires much energies even with relaxing speed. The bikes you use are quality sports hybrid type, not just city bikes.They are prepared to swift smooth, but they are also beginner friendly.We provide you helmets and it is mandatory to wear them for the safety reason. We also give you a safety instruction before we take out to the ride.Although the traffic here is not heavy, we always do our best to keep the safety level on top.

The lunch is not included the price, but you do have a chance to get some local foods on the way.After the bike ride, you can take a shower at the hostel upstairs the office, which is for free.

【Weather】

On rainy day, please bring a rain jacket to keep you dry.Just in case we have a disaster, like typhoon, the tour will be cancelled. We Local experience Japan reserve the right to make a decision if we cancel or we change the route.
