Meet Your Master Special Tour 3days in March 2020

At the heart of this unique three-day experience, is an invitation for the guests to explore the concept of Zen in active and diverse ways. In the temple, the mountains, and the dojo , you will encounter ancient traditions and meet those who keep these practices alive in their everyday life. You will learn from and practice alongside the Zen monks at Zenpoji Temple, the Yamabushi of Mount Haguro, and a Master of Kyudo, Japanese archery. Though distinct in their own traditions, they share a common approach to self-discipline, to the death of the ego and the release of the “self.”
Between the main activities, you will enjoy the fine food culture Tsuruoka City has to offer as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.
This special tour includes: two nights’ accommodation at Shonai Hotel Suiden Terrasse with breakfast, all transportation, lunch on all three days, unique local dining experiences for both evening meals, and all applicable fees and rental charges. For more information, please check.

Day 1: Meet Your Master at Shonai,YAMAGATA

10:20 Meet at the ticket gate of JR Tsuruoka Station.
10:30 Leave for Zenpoji.The taxi driver will bring your big luggage straight to the hotel.
11:00 Zen activity at Zenpoji .Lunch, Zazen, Calligraphy, Official Chanting Service
17:00 Leave for Naa.
17:30 Dinner at Naa. (ranked as the No.1 farminn restaurant by Nikkei newspaper in 2013 Japanese food)
20:00 Leave for Shonai Hotel SuidenTerrasse.

7:00 Breakfast.
8:20 Leave for Daisinbo.
8:50 Arrive at Daishinbo.
9:00 Yamabushi trekking on Mt. Haguro. Orientation,Trekking,12:00 Official Chanting Servise,12:40 Lunch at Saikan.
14:20 Leave for Daishinbo.
14:40 Arrive at Daishinbo.
15:30 Leave for SuidenTerrasse.

traditions at Yamabushi onsen Yupoka and local bus ride’ on the way to the
hotel. The bus schedule is as follows.
16:06 Sakurakoji 16:19 Yamabushi Onsen Yupoka
17:44 Yamabushi Onsen Yupoka 18:07 Turuoka Station.
The guest will have about 90min at Yupoka to enjoy hot spring.
　　　 An English speaking guide will support them during the bus rides and Onsen.
A private Taxi will take you back to the hotel after arriving at
TsuruokaStation.
