Get out of the city, step into a countryside. You will feel the fresh and calm of Minamisanriku. Minamisanriku is a town based on nature, so let’s learn and experience sustainable indigo farming. Sit down and have a traditional Japanese food- “onigiri”. Then follow Ms. Miku, harvest Ai leaves, which is the most natural dye. Enjoy a leisurely day escaping from the hustle and bustle life in urban. After working in the farm, let’s take a break in sun sun lodge, where was an elementary school. So, when you arrive at sun sun lodge, you could see the classroom of the original elementary school.
The second day, we go to the indigo factory, dyeing handkerchiefs with the Ai leaves, making you unique indigo works. Before the end of this tour, we are going to take you to special viewpoint that only the locals know. It is in Matsushima and the only way to reach there is by cars.
You can see the spectacular view of Matsushima and the Pacific Ocean shines with hundreds of islands surrounding.
