Nara Cycle Tours - Heart of Nature

Japanese paintings are works drawn using traditional materials and techniques from ancient Japan. Paint with ink, rock paint, dye, glue, gilt, and washi paper. First of all, from the lecturer Ms Haruki Yamaba, I will explain "Japanese painting".

Most of the pictures found in Kyoto's shrines and temples are Japanese paintings. If you try to draw Japanese paintings by yourself, those paintings will be felt close to you, and your trip to Kyoto will be more fun!

Itinerary

Let's have fun drawing on gilt colored paper with authentic Japanese paint!

An up-and-coming Japanese artist, Haru Yamaba (Ms Haruki Yamaba) will teach carefully.

All you have to do is draw your favorite designs, such as dragons, animals, flowers, etc., and trace them and paint them. Art materials are available, so please come and go. You can take your work home with you. The venue is a Shorinji-Kenbo Dojo, so the atmosphere is perfect.
