The most exciting live entertainment in Kyoto showcasing traditional Japanese music. Hear both classic folk songs and fun upbeat numbers adapted from Japanese pop culture. The show takes place in the middle of downtown Kyoto, performing 4days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat) offering 2shows per day (6pm and 8pm). duration is about 80min. Enjoy a diner with sake or craft beer while you listen to the amazing musicians

Kyoto. A city with an amazing number of beautiful shrines, temples and other treasures of historic and cultural importance. But when it comes to nightfall, there are lots of nice restaurants and bars to choose from but little else on offer as far as entertainment goes. That is why we started RAN Kyoto in downtown Kyoto.

The concept of RAN is to have a fun filled night with traditional music and diner with local sake and beer. Here you can see all the famous traditional musicians under one roof. We invited musicians from all over Japan to come to Kyoto, the centre of Japanese traditional culture to entertain you with this exciting performance. There is a mix of classic songs and songs adapted from Japanese pop culture.

We invite you to come to the show and enjoy a diner with few drinks from our selection of local sake and beer while you enjoy the amazing performance. We also ask you to join in on the fun by clapping along, waving your arms side to side and maybe even joining the band! Come see a traditional music performance with a modern twist.
