Beppu city surroundings feature numerous amounts of Onsens. Traditionally, people were building villages around these natural miracles.

At this experience, you will visit one of such villages and see that its appearance and lifestyle of locals almost haven’t changed for years. To reach this village in the mountains you will need to take a bus for 30 minutes and hike for about 20 minutes, so please wear comfortable shoes. The water with minerals from the onsen flows to the village in the same traditional way as it did in the past.
