Itinerary

Day 1: Amman- Jerash - Ajloun - Amman

Stop At: Jerash Ruins, Jerash Jordan
The North Tour of Jordan is a step back into time. You will start your day to the rich terrain of Jordan. It is a full day tour so be sure to have your walking shoes and camera ready. Your first stop will be Ajlun Castle which was built in 1184AD by one of Saladin’s generals. The castle became important in the defense against the Crusaders. The castle is one of the best preserved examples of Medieval Arab-Islamic military architecture. After Ajlun Castle, you will meet your driver at the entrance with your last stop to Jerash. Jerash, located about 45 minutes south from the the castle, considered one of the largest and most well-preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world outside of Italy. Jerash conquered by General Pompey in 63 BC, became under Roman rule and was one of the 10 greatest Roman cities, The Decapolis League. Your tour will capture its colonnaded streets, baths, theaters, plazas and arches most in great condition. There is a lot of walking but well worth the stroll, be sure to have your comfortable shoes on that day. Once you complete your Jerash Tour, there are authentic handcrafts at the Jerash Gift Gallery for purchase, handmade in Jordan, optional. At the end of the tour, your driver will meet you at the entrance for your return to Amman.

Day 2: Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Karak castle - Petra

Stop At: Karak, Karak, Karak Governorate
You will be picked up from Amman at 8.00 am, passing through the Kings Way toward Wadi Mousa (Petra) and stopping at different places on the way. Start from Madaba city and visit St.George (Church Map) and martyrs churches. then you will visit Mount Nebo where Moses is said to have passed through the Holy Land before he died. You will then be taken to Karak castle passing through Wadi Al-Mujib (The second largest castle at the Middle East). You will then visit the Little Petra before being dropped off for the night at Wadi Musa city and starting of full day visit to Petra the next morning..

Day 3: Petra - Wadi Rum

Stop At: Petra - Wadi Musa, Petra - Wadi Musa, Ma'an Governorate
The next day you will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00 am and head out for a self- guided day in Petra that is considered one of the wonders of the world. that was carved in stone more than 2000 years ago in order to dominate the trade routes of ancient Arabia. Visit its towns, damns, and water channels and enjoy a walk along the narrow siq, a path which is the main entrance to the city. The first thing you will see is the Khazneh, which was believed to be a tomp for one of the Nabatean Kings. You will also see other monuments such as The Monastery and the Altar of Sacrifice. In the afternoon you will move towards Wadi Rum, called the valley of moon, where the movie Lawrence of Arabia was filmed and lately The Martian. You will spend the night in a Bedouin camp inside Rum reserve, in a very unique calm and quiet spot whilst having dinner cooked according to Bedouin style and evening activities.

Day 4: Wadi Rum - Dead Sea - Amman

Stop At: Dead Sea Region, Dead Sea Region
After breakfast you will have a short visit of Wadi Rum in a 4x4 Jeep (Local Bedoiune cars). Wadi Rum is a uniquely-shaped massive mountain that rose among the rosy red sand of the desert with towering cliffs of various brownish, reddish and golden colors. Then, you will move to the Dead Sea which sits over 1300 feet (432 m) below sea level. The Dead Sea is one of the most incredible places in the world. It is known for the Biblical story of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, which were destroyed by fire and brimstone. The Dead Sea speaks for itself: there are no living fish. It is by far one of Jordan's most impressive and spectacular places to visit. Its calm, shining water glowing from the scorching sun above, is known for the concentration of salt and minerals which makes it a therapeutic as well as a unique swimming experience not to be missed. Enjoy some free time to swim before returning to your hotel in Amman.
