Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi-Aberdares National Park.

Stop At: Aberdare National Park, Aberdare National Park, Central Province
An Ultimate African Safaris representative will pick you from your Nairobi hotel at 7:30am or at JKIA airport upon arrival early morning, safari briefing and depart for the Aberdares a 3 hours’ drive arriving at the Aberdare Country Club hotel in good time for lunch, nature walk within the Club as you wait for the Ark captain to transfer you to the Aberdares National Park for overnight stay at The Ark lodge which overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick attracting huge herds of Elephants, Baffalos and other wildlife. The lodge has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge.

Day 2: Aberdares National Park- Samburu National Reserve.

Stop At: Samburu National Reserve, Samburu National Reserve, Samburu District, Rift Valley Province
Early breakfast at the Ark and Leave Aberdares for Samburu a 4 hours drive with a brief stop at the Equator line, proceed to arrive Samburu Game Reserve with enroute game drive, check in and have lunch at Samburu Wilderness Lodge.
Afternoon game drive across the game Reserve search for the big five except the Rhino, other unique wildlife species includes Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich not found anywhere else. Return to the Samburu Wilderness lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Explore Samburu National Reserve

Stop At: Samburu National Reserve, Samburu National Reserve, Samburu District, Rift Valley Province
Early morning game drive, return back to the Samburu Wilderness lodge/similar for breakfast, mid-day at leisure or optional visit Samburu cultural village. Afternoon game drive followed by dinner and overnight at the Samburu Wilderness lodge/Similar.

Day 4: Samburu National Reserve – Sweetwater’s Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Stop At: Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Nanyuki Private Bag, 10400 Kenya
Early morning breakfast game drive en-route depart Samburu for Sweetwater a 3 Hrs drive arriving with game drive en-route in time for lunch, check in at Sweet waters Luxury Tented Camp, Sweetwater’s Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of the chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible.
The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area. Afternoon game drive across the Sanctuary

Day 5: Sweet Waters – Lake Nakuru National Park.

Stop At: Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, Rift Valley Province
Early morning breakfast, then depart Sweet Waters for Lake Nakuru National Park a 4 hours’ drive, with a brief stop at the Thompson Falls, proceed through the Great Rift Valley escarpment, arrive in time for lunch and check in at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Afternoon game drive within the shores of the Pink Lake often referred so due to it’s great masses of Flamingos but currently due to climate change and high water level only few flamingos, the famous White and Black Rhino main attraction can be spotted easily along the shores of the lake.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park– Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
Early morning breakfast depart Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara a 5 Hrs drive, Proceed to arrive in good time for lunch and check in at the Sarova Mara Game camp. Afternoon game drive, look for the Big Five Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Black Rhino, Buffalo, other rich game include Cheetah, Wildebeest, Zebra, amongst many. Drive back to the Sarova Mara Game Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Masai Mara National Reserve.

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
Morning breakfast and leave for a full day game drive with picnic lunch box to explore the magic Mara The Masai Mara plains are full of wildebeest during migration season early July to end September, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle are regularly seen, search for the Big Five Lion, Elephants, Buffalo, leopard and the Black Rhino, Hyenas, Cheetah, Jackal and Bat-eared Foxes. Extend your drive to the Mara River where schools of Hippos and Nile crocodile are abundant in river who lay in wait for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest to find new pastures.

Day 8: Masai Mara National Reserve – Lake Naivasha

Stop At: Lake Naivasha, Naivasha Road Nakuru County Kenya
Morning breakfast and depart Mara for Lake Naivasha a 4 hours’ drive to Naivasha Simba Luxury lodge. Check in and have lunch. Afternoon optional visit to the Hell’s Gate which allows walking safari, Hiking, optional Bicycle ride or boat ride.

Day 9: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park

Early morning breakfast and depart Lake Naivasha for Amboseli National Park a 5 hours’ drive, proceed to Amboseli National Park which lies at the floor of Kilimanjaro Mountain offering scenic background for photography, Lion, Elephants, Buffalo, Cheetah, can be spotted easily at the swamp area. Arrive in good time for lunch and check in at the Serena Lodge. Afternoon game drive followed by dinner and overnight at Serena Lodge.

Day 10: Amboseli National-Nairobi.
