4 DAYS LAKES ADVENTURE (Naivasha Nakuru AND Baringo)

This 4 days trip will take you to three of Kenya's Rift valley Lakes.
Your trip will start in Nairobi where you will proceed to Lake Naivasha, then to Lak Nakuru and Later finish with Lake Baringo.

Day 1: Nairobi-Lake Naivasha

Pick up from the airport or hotel in the morning drive via the Great Rift Valley escarpment with breathtaking views of the world’s greatest land rift to papyrus fringed Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha boasts over 350 bird species which includes: the fish eagles, pied kingfishers, long tailed and great cormorants, black Herons, Rey-backed fiscal, yellow colored lovebird. Dinner and overnight at lake Naivasha Sopa lodge or similar

Day 2: Lake Naivasha-lake Nakuru

After breakfast depart to Nakuru and head for Lake Nakuru national park, regarded by birders as the greatest world ornithological spectacle on the Earth. The park is famous for its millions of pink flamingos. Flamingos aren’t the only bird species that will delight bird lovers. The lake has upwards of 400 other bird species which includes the Pelicans, secretary bird, heron, the hooded and Egyptian vultures, and little egret with its characteristic yellow feet. Other species that have been sighted in the park are the yellow –billed stork, the cliff chat and several migrant species from Europe and Asia.Dinner and overnight at the lodge/hotel

Day 3: Lake Nakuru-Lake Baringo

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and drive further North to Lake Baringo, mid-morning for a bird walk. Lake Baringo is a fresh water lake and it has its own share of bird life species like the white faced scopes owl, brimstone canary, Bristol crowned starling, goliath heron, little weaver, Jacksons and Hemp Rich’s Hornbill. This amazing environment draws birdwatchers from all over the world, eager to catch a glimpse of this special reality. A few years ago a record was set when an ornithologist saw over 300 bird species here in 24 hours. The species include shikra, African darter, African skimmer, Marabou storks, African fish eagles, paradise flycatchers and pale and dark phase Gabar goshawks.

Day 4: Lake Baringo –Nairobi

Early morning bird watching in this amazing environment, late breakfast then depart Baringo for Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon.
