Mount Kenya is Africa’s second highest mountain, and is unarguably the more enjoyable mountain to climb, with stunning views, glacial features and varied flora. There are several alternative routes on the mountain, each joining at the trekkers peak at Point Lenana (4985m). The Chogoria route up and Down sirimon undoubtedly offers the mountain’s best features. Chogoria is the most favored Ascent route with dramatic gorges, waterfalls and mountain tarns. Whilst the highlight of this trek is summiting Point Lenana t in time for sun-rise, both the ascent and descent offer rewarding trekking and scenery.
