This safari is a good choice for a first time African safari. You will spend 2 nights in the spectacular Maasai Mara game reserve. It is where you find astonishing wildlife spectacles on earth; the annual Wildebeest Migration. If lucky you can witness a lion kill or a close up encounter with a big cat on foot. 1 night in Lake Nakuru is worthwhile for the birdwatchers and great views of the lake. Also if you weren’t lucky to see a rhino in Mara, then this is a great place to see them.

Day 1 Arrive in Nairobi:

Upon arrival at the JKIA airport, our representative will be waiting for you for greetings and briefing. You will then be transferred to Kenya Comfort hotel.

Day 2 Nairobi-Maasai Mara: 

Depart for a journey south along the floor of the Great Rift Valley with a stop at the View Point for breath taking views of the rift valley. You can take photos and buy souvenirs. Arrive to Maasai Mara game reserve, in time for lunch at Ashnil Mara camp. Proceed for a game drive till twilight.

Day 3 Mara Full Day: 

Full day spent game viewing exploring the reserve in search of the Big 5. Maasai Mara Game reserve is considered as the greatest wildlife reserve in Africa. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are offered.

Day 4 Maasai Mara - Nakuru:

After breakfast, proceed to Lake Nakuru game reserve with an en- route game drive. Arrive in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge. After resting for a while proceed for a game drive. The lake is excellent for bird watching and the vista of the lake is also stunning. The best time to visit the lake is when the water levels are low to see the flamingos; they feed on algae found on the surface of the shallow waters of the lake. Other wildlife such as the white rhinos can be seen.

Day 5 Nakuru- Nairobi: 

Early morning breakfast, then check out the lodge as you head to the Lake for your last game drive. Later after lunch begin the journey back to Nairobi.

Day 6 Nairobi- Departure: 

On this day you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. If your flight is late at night you can do some optional activities in Nairobi like; the giraffe center visit, elephant orphanage visit or Karen Blixen Museum visit.
