For one day, join a thriving not-for-profit that provides unique training and livelihood opportunities to disadvantaged youth and women in urban slums in Kenya. You’ll dive into the heart of an informal settlement, where the real Nairobi comes to life amid colourful street vendors, animals roaming the streets, and the most innovative forms of just getting by. LivelyHoods invites you to get street smart, accompanied by youth and women who have grown up in these communities and are now making a difference to them by distributing life-changing clean-energy products. We'll also show you some of the amazing visual and performing arts, and crafts that the young people trying to get by get involved in.

LivelyHoods is a non-profit social enterprise, and in joining us on this social impact experience you'll be part of the impact! And you'll also directly support the organisation's training and community outreach work.

LivelyHoods Kenya is a non-profit social enterprise that creates training and livelihoods opportunities for disadvantaged youth and women in urban slums. LivelyHoods trains youth and women in sales, marketing, and communication skills, and provides them with the products and support for them to thrive as sales agent of life-changing clean-energy products such as cookstoves.

You will join the organization for the daily meeting where all the sales agents receive daily coaching, support and sales training on the clean energy products that they distribute in their communities.

We will go through the bustling community of Kawangware, home to 800,000 people and plenty of colour, innovation and real Kenyan life. We will walk through the community, interact with local artists and entrepreneurs, and environmental ambassadors.
