Mara North Conservancy is a beautiful private wilderness area of more than 30,000 hectares (~74,000 acres). It is a vital part of the Masai Mara ecosystem as it forms the north-western zone, bordering the Masai Mara National Reserve in the south of Kenya. The Masai Mara is famous for its unique concentration of wildlife, birds, rich vegetation and open savannah. It has been classified among the "Seven Wonders of the World" due to the extraordinary annual migration (July - November) when over 1.3 million wildebeest and zebras cross from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara in search of greener pastures. Less famous, yet very impressive, is the Loita Hills migration, where thousands of local wildebeest come to the Mara North Conservancy (December to May). Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi

Pass By: Nairobi, Nairobi
You will be met on arrival at Jkia or from your Nairobi Hotel by our representative and transferred to Wilson Airport for your morning flight to the greater Mara. On arrival at the Airstrip, our Professional Guide will pick you and drive towards the camp, on the way a welcoming drink will be given by our friendly camp staffs, then drop you at the Camp. In the afternoon, you will be taken for a game viewing drive. Accommodation at Karen Blixen Camp, All inclusive

Day 2: Mara North Conservancy Masai Mara

Stop At: Mara North Conservancy, Mara North Conservancy, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
After breakfast, proceed on a morning game drive to world-renowned 'Leopard Gorge', made famous by the BBC Big Cat Diary. Before or after lunch, there is time for a camp eco-walk, a swim, armchair game-viewing with drinks or why not book a spa treatment or a visit to our Maasai Manyatta?

Day 3: Mara North Conservancy and Masai Mara Game Reserve

Stop At: Mara North Conservancy, Mara North Conservancy, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
Today your Safari Guide will organize some packed lunches for you after breakfast. Depart for a whole day game viewing drive inside the Reserve. During lunch time you will identify a safe tree, sit under it and enjoy the lunch. Continue with the viewing until you return to the camp late afternoon.

Day 4: Mara North Conservancy Masai Mara

Early morning game viewing drive; try to find the early carnivores as they rush back to their hide outs after a busy night of hunting, before the sun catches with them. Return to the camp for a rest, time also to enjoy the swimming pool. Afternoon another game viewing drive. Accommodation at Karen Blixen Camp, All inclusive

Day 5: Mara North Conservancy Masai Mara - Coast

Morning game drive, return to camp for breakfast, relax, early lunch and transfer to Airstrip for your flight to Diani, south coast. You will be met by our Representative who will transfer you to Sands At Chale Island. Dinner and Overnight at Sands At Chale Island.

Day 6: Day 6 – 8: Sands At Chale Island (on Half Board Basis)

Stop At: Chale Island, Kenya
Specifically built with nature and the environment in mind, The Sands at Chale Island is one of the most low impact hotels in Kenya. Spread out to offer the utmost in privacy and romance, even when at full capacity one has a tremendous feeling of peace, tranquility and seclusion. The combination of white beach, tropical plants, laid back island flair and Kenyan hospitality is what dreams are made of. hale Island is a contemporary mix of Swahili structures, Italian stucco, Lamu furniture, objects of African art and varnished Mahogany.

Great care has been taken not only to preserve the natural environment of the island, but also to give a truly Kenyan feel by only using natural Kenyan products. All buildings are constructed with locally quarried coral blocks and are roofed with high, palm leaf “Makuti” thatch. Internal walls are finished with Kenyan made Italian “stucco Venezziano” in hues of pale pink and blue.
