Ocean Shore Excursion in Mombasa

Mombasa, Kenya's second largest city and East Africa's major port, bursts of immense cultural and economic significance. Due to its strategic location on the proximity to the vast Indian Ocean, Mombasa also plays a central tourism role to Kenya. Some of the landmarks that stand out in the town include the "tusks" that were first erected in 1952 in the honor of Queen Elizabeth's visit to Kenya, Fort Jesus which was constructed by the Portuguese in 1593, Swaminarayan temple, and the old Kilindini harbor.

The tour will start immediately after the ship docs and end around 4PM so that the guests can return back to the port in good time. Alternatively, I can pick you up and drop you off at your preferred location within Mombasa.

Here's the tentative itinerary (We can customize it to your needs)

8:00 AM: Pick up from the port and transported to the restaurant for breakfast (Any luggage can be left at the restaurant to be collected after the day trip).

9:00 AM: Visit Fort Jesus and Old Town (Full Exploration of the pre-historic site)

11:00 AM: Visit the Mombasa "tusks" for historical adventure and amazing photography

12:30 PM: Return to Barka or Swahili Dishes for Lunch

2:00 PM: A visit to Halla Park for a guided Nature Walk

4:00 PM: head to Mama Ngina drive to enjoy some cassava chips as we enjoy the amazing view of the Mombasa island and Kilindini Harbor.

5:00 PM: End of tour, transfer back to the port.

Afternoon Alternative:

2:00 PM: Head to Tudor Creek for kayaking

Meal Plan:

Mbaazi, chapati, Swahili tea for breakfast

Coconut rice served with fish, or chicken biriyani, or pilau (local coastal dishes), seconded with a glass of fresh juice for lunch.
