Safari and Baden Kenya 7 days
The eye wanders over a fascinating expanse of landscape, over mountains, gallery forests, open steppes, lakes and tree-covered grasslands. The wide plains Tsavos extend to the Tanzanian border. In some places it is possible to leave the vehicle and walk on designated trails through the countryside. Especially the guided hike along solidified lava flows to the Chaimu crater is an experience. A visit to the Mzima Springs is also a must: in these crystal-clear spring ponds, there are plenty of fish as well as powerful hippos.
Afterwards you can enjoy the Indian beach pleasures, warm temperatures, blue water and the hospitality of the Kenyans.
Itinerary
Day 1: Mombasa airport arrival
Stop At: Tsavo East, Voi Mageso Chember, Tsavo National Park East 00200 Kenya
As early as 1900 Tsavo gained dubious fame in the construction of the Uganda Railway: many workers were killed by the man-eating lions, the "Maneaters of Tsavo". In the Railway Museum in Nairobi a coach is still exhibited, from which the beasts once pulled out one of their victims. In World War II, however, Tsavo was the scene of several clashes between German and British forces.

Day 2: Tsavo East National Park
Stop At: Tsavo East, Voi Mageso Chember, Tsavo National Park East 00200 Kenya
The 11,747 km² Tsavo East National Park is not only one of Kenya's oldest but also the largest protected areas: its area accounts for 40% of the total area of all Kenyan national parks. It is a popular destination for safaris due to the beautiful landscape and proximity to the coast. Bunch of grassland turns into open grassland, acacia bush and dry forests. Along the riverbank lush vegetation provides variety. North of the Galana River begins the absolute wilderness. Some providers offer special safaris to these areas, even camel safaris are offered here. The National Park is home to a lodge, four tent camps, eleven campgrounds and a facility with self-catering Banda accommodation.
With its breathtaking scenery, Tsavo East is a worthwhile destination for photographers: especially the Mudanda Rock and the views of the Yatta Plateau, the longest cooled lava flow in the world, are worth a visit. The Lugards Falls on the Galana River are known for their bizarre rock formations hollowed out by the pouring water. Tsavos wildlife includes elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, crocodiles, waterbuck, kudu, giraffe gazelles and zebras. Here in Tsavo live the largest elephant herds of Kenya. The red soil of Tsavo, whose dust the elephants use for body care, gives them a reddish glow.
