Have you ever heard about a village in Kenya where only women live to fight against FGM, early forced marriages and misuse? Ladies, it is time to support each other! Support the women’s village by visiting them and buying their self-made jewelries!

Itinerary

Day 1: Women`s Village Umoja

Pass By: Samburu National Reserve, Nairobi Kenya
Be ready for an adventurous road trip to Samburu women’s village with beautiful landscaping sceneries on the way. At 6.30am you will kick off from your hotel in Nairobi for a 5 - 6 hours road trip. On the way you will stop over at a pineapple farm in Thika and cross the equator line in Nanyuki, where you will as well enjoy your breakfast. You will reach the Women’s Campsite in Samburu around lunchtime. The campsite, which is managed by the founder of the village Rebecca Lolosoli, is situated directly at a river with palms in the dry and hot Samburu area.

From the campsite, it’s a walking distance to the Women’s Village, where you will be welcomed from the women with traditional songs. Join the ladies for a dance and learn about their daily life and challenges they are facing.

Dinner will be served for you in the campsite.

Day 2: Umoja Women's Village

Pass By: Samburu National Reserve, Nairobi Kenya
Enjoy your breakfast at the campsite to your preferred time. Use the morning hours to engage with the ladies from the village or meet the founder Rebecca Lolosoli. Sundays you can as well join the ladies for church. Around 11am you will kick off to Nairobi, which you will reach around 6pm.
