We offer tour guiding and trekking services in Mt Kenya(Naromoru route)

We treks with adventure lovers to Mt.Kenya a mountain at the equator and has a snow covering on it. Our trekking services are offered in Mt Kenya national park around Nanyuki town. Come and get a chance view African wildlife as you trail in Kenya's deep thicket forest.

Itinerary

Day 1: Airport or a hotel pickup

Stop At: kiboko adventures, 439 Sweetwaters, Nanyuki Town, Nanyuki Municipality 10100 Kenya
You get a chance to get into the nearest town to the mountain
Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Karunguru Coffee Estate, Ruiru 00232 Kenya
We will pick you up in the Jomo Kenyatta international airport on your arrival date. Usually we organizes a taxi pick up or a certified tour van transportation. This is a journey of 3 hours from Nairobi to Nanyuki. On the way, we shall pass over Karunguru coffee Estate in around Ruiru also you will get a glimpse of Tea zones around Nyeri county area at the far end of the horizon.

Just before we are at Nanyuki,equator pass is a must. We take approximately 20 mins here learning what happens at the equator. The we head to Buens lugar hotel where we will spend our night and also to have an earlier acclimation because this hotel resides very close to Mt Kenya.

Day 2: On the way to Naromoru park gate

Stop At: Mount Kenya National Park 10400 Kenya
At around 8:00 am we will start our journey from the hotel as we head to Naromoru route until we reach the park gate. This is where our trekking will start our local tour guides,cooks and porters will arrange on how they will carry your food. This is an approximately 3 hours trek in the deep bamboo thicket until we reach the met station camp where we will spend our night

Day 3: On the way to Mackinders camp

Stop At: Mount Kenya National Park 10400 Kenya
We commence our trek as we ascend higher at around 8:00 am on the way to mackinders camp. This is a very technical and adventurous route . In this mountain we shall pass over heath and moorland vegetation and we get a chance to see the rock hyrax jumping from one rock to another. After a trek of aroung 4 hours, we end our journey in Mackinders camp where we will spend our night.

Day 4: On the way to point Lenana

Stop At: Mount Kenya National Park 10400 Kenya
At Mackinders camp you are over 3100m altitude. On this day we will commence our trekking at 2:00 am on our way to point Lenana. This is a very steep and adventurous encounter naturally designed to challenge you until you reach point Lenana, the third highest peak. On a clear morning,one is able to view the magical sunrise of the sun from the far East of the Indian ocean. Mt. Kilimanjaro is also visible at this point on a clear morning.

After we finish our photo shooting,we start to descend back Mackinders camp we take our second breakfast and we descend further back to Met station where we will spend our night.

Day 5: Back to Naromoru park gate

Stop At: Mount Kenya National Park 10400 Kenya
This is the best chance to have a glimpse of the wildlife in this national park. We shall start our descend back to the park entry at around 8:00 am. At the gate is where you will be given your Mt. Kenyan certificate and a tshirt each for a person then we board our vehicles on the way to Naromoru town where we will end our experience.
