We offer trekking services in Mt Kenya(Sirimon Naromoru route)

We treks with adventure lovers to Mt Kenya a mountain at the equator and has a snow covering on it. Our trekking services are offered in Mt Kenya national park around Nanyuki town. This is an experience of 5 days yet you will learn a lot because we have guides who are qualified for this job. With us, on our way to Nanyuki will make a stop over for you to get very close to a nearby local coffee farm to get a glimpse of this plant.

Itinerary

Day 1: We pick you at the airport or a hotel

Stop At: kiboko adventures, 439 Sweetwaters, Nanyuki Town, Nanyuki Municipality 10100 Kenya
you get a chance to visit Nanyuki the closest town to the mountain.
Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Karunguru Coffee Estate, Ruiru 00232 Kenya
We will pick you in Jomo Kenyatta international airport on the arrival date. Usually we organizes a taxi pick up or a certified tour van. This is a journey of approximately 3 hours from Nairobi on the way to Nanyuki. On the way you gets a chance to pass over coffee plantations and tea zones at the far end of the horizon.

Before we are at Nanyuki,equator pass is a must in here we spend around 20 minutes while you get educated on what happens at the zero degrees latitude.. We then head to Buens lugar hotel where you will spend your night to acclimate earlier since the hotel is very close to Mt. Kenya.

Day 2: On the way to old Moses

Stop At: Mount Kenya National Park 10400 Kenya
We pick you at the hotel at around 8:00 am on the way to Sirimon gate where we will commence our trek. This route takes approximately 3 hours as we pass over the equatorial forest. We reach at old Moses camp where we will spend our night

Day 3: On the way to Shipton camp

Stop At: Mount Kenya National Park 10400 Kenya
We commence our journey at around 8:00am on the way to Shipton camp. This is a heath and moorland environment composed of semi dried grass vegetation and the rarely seen Rock hyrax. We trek for around 4 hours and then we spend our night at Shipton camp an altitude above 3100m.

Day 4: On the way to point Lenana

Stop At: Mount Kenya National Park 10400 Kenya
We wake up very early around 2:00am as we head to point Lenana third highest peak. At point Lenana one is able view the magical sunrise from the Indian ocean on a clear morning. At this point Mt. Kilimanjaro is also visible on a clear morning.

After we finish our encounter we start descending on different route on the way to Mackinders camp. At Mackinders we shall take our next breakfast then we descend further to Met station where we will spend our night

Day 5: To Naromoru park gate

Stop At: Mount Kenya National Park 10400 Kenya
This is the best chance to encounter wildlife. This route boasts having a lot of Buffaloes on the trail . We reach at the gate where you will get your Mt. Kenya certificate then we board our pick up cars further back to Naromoru town.
