3-Day Guided Trekking Adventure in Pakse

Pakse, the capital of Champasak Province is not only the major hub of Southern Laos but it is also an ideal destination for those who want to enjoy the outdoors and get lost in the forest. On this 3 days tour in Pakse, visit the archaelogical site of Mt Phou Asa, explore the tropical forest Xe Pian, Chan Deang waterfall, and surrounding area. Tour included hotel pick up, lunch, dinner, 2 night accommodation.

Day 1 – Trekking Pakse to Xe Pian NPA

Pick up at your hotel in Pakse city centre in the early morning, transfer to Kingfisher Lodge where you have a brief before the overnight trek. You then take a walk up to Phou Asa and admire the panoramic views of the Kiat Ngong Wetland and village, walk to see the footprint cave about 2km further on and continue walk about 3 hours more to where we will stop for lunch at 13:00 at a great view point overlooking the Mekong River valley and lowlands. Along the way our skilled guides will highlight points of interest in the forest and demonstrate the uses of certain items including cooking in bamboo. After lunch continue enjoying the view as we continue walking to Chan Deang waterfall about 5km further and our camp for the night. We should arrive about at 3pm and begin setting up the camp. You can help or our guides will do it for you. Our local guides will prepare you a tasty dinner while you relax the meantime, depending on the season take the chance of a cooling dip in the waterfall.

Day 2 – Trekking back to Kingfisher Lodge

 This morning your guides will prepare breakfast for you at 7:30 - 8:00 am, after breakfast we will walk 1km up to a little hill to a viewpoint and have a short break before continuing for other 4km to reach our picnic point at Mak Fang, after a delightful picnic and rest we walk back through the forest back to lodge arriving at approximately 16:00pm.

 Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation: Kingfisher Eco Lodge / Comfort Bungalow

Day 3 – Departure

 Transfer to airport for departure flight.
