Northern Ethnic Minority Trek with Home-stay 1 night

It is predominantly spent trekking through the forest, villages and mountains of the Pha Pheuang and designed for moderately active people who love getting into the great outdoors!

Itinerary

Day 1: Luang Prabang > Ban Huay Lo > Ban Pha Phuang > Ban Mok Chong

Stop At: Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang Province
The starting point of the trek is 40 km north of Luang Prabang, in the Khmu-village of Ban Huay Lo off route 13. The trail passes through rice paddies, forest and waterfalls. On the way, we visit the Hmong village of Pha Phuang where we have a local lunch. After lunch, we continue trekking up in the mountain until to reach Khmu and Hmong villages on the top of the mountain. You will learn more about Hmong-culture in the host village for the night, Ban Mok Chong.

Day 2: Ban Mok Chong > Ban Nasavang > Huay Vang > Luang Prabang

Stop At: Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang, Luang Prabang Province
Today, we trek further into the rugged and densely forested mountains west of the Nam Ou valley. A trail leads us through remote and beautiful bamboo forest and limestone scenery. Lunch is served in the Khmu village of Ban Nasavang. After the lunch, we continue trekking following a local trail. On the way, we stop at scenic waterfalls, a perfect place to relax. We continue trekking until to reach the village of Ban Hauy where the vehicle is waiting for us
