Two Day Trek To Hmong Khum Village, Homestay In Khmu Village, Tad Sae Waterfall

Meeting with the Khmu and Hmong people - the two most prominent ethnic minorities in northern Laos

Tad Sae Waterfalls not available on dry season can be low or dry water. It rains little this year. After December, there will be little water in Tad Sae waterfall.

Itinerary

DAY1; Drive 50-minutes to the east side of Luang Prabang. Then we begin hiking and cross the Nam Khan River by boat. We arrive at “Ban Suan Dala” village where Hmong and Lao people live together.

We continue hiking up a hill another 2 hour to a small Hmong village in the top of the hill. On the way, we will enjoy the lush scenery. We reach the village and enjoy lunch in a Hmong home.During the lunch break, we will walk around the village and see their life and culture, and also have the chance to capture breathtaking views.

We continue trekking downhill and cross a small stream. We arrive at a Khmu village where we stay overnight. Our guide will introduce you to the villages, prepare dinner. After dinner we enjoy exploring the village or have a drink with the locals if you like. We will have an incredible night in the mountainous village.

DAY 2 Waking up at early morning and have breakfast. We set out for 1.5-hour short trek to Tad Sae Waterfalls. We will enjoy walking up and down hill through the rice fields with morning landscape. We have lunch break in the waterfall and have time to explore there. Crossing the Nam Khan River by boat, then back to city around 3-4 pm.
