Skip the Line: The Palace of The Grand Dukes Entrance Ticket

Visitors to the National Museum – Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania can see both permanent and temporary exhibitions. There are 4 routes to choose from:

I HISTORY, ARCHAEOLOGY, ARCHITECTURE

This exposition presents three of the most important chronological stages in the development of this site and residence.

II RECONSTRUCTED HISTORICAL INTERIORS

It represents the stylistic development of the residence of the Lithuanian grand dukes and historical purpose of the various spaces displays authentic furniture that are characteristic of European palace interiors.

III WEAPONRY, EVERYDAY LIFE, MUSIC

Visitors can see castle and palace fortifications and weapons collection, exhibitions of the the daily life and other expositions featuring the musical heritage.

IV MUSEUM EXHIBITION CENTRE

The Exhibition Centre in the museum is one of the few exhibition spaces in Lithuania that meets all security, micro-climate and other requirements that apply for the highest level exhibitions.

In the reconstructed Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania there are two exhibition tour routes directly related to the historical functions of this residence.

The first tour will show the historical and architectural development of the palace by highlighting the ancient ruins still in place and the excavated artifacts as well as by using models and iconographic materials. The second tour route will bring the visitors into the ceremonial halls, which have been reconstructed in such a way as to show the evolution of architectural styles – from the late Gothic to the Renaissance to the early Baroque. The tour ends at the special Treasury Hall featuring the treasuries of the Grand Dukes and of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
