• King’s Palace
Official residence of the King and Queen
• National Monument
Constructed in honor of the nation’s fallen heroes in 1966. Its 15.54 meter high bronze statuary depicts seven men from the Malayan Security forces symbolizing the seven qualities of leadership.
• National Museum
Built in the style of old Malay architecture. Its imposing entrance is flanked by mural depicting aspects of Malaysian culture and history.
• Sultan Abdul Samad Building
Moorish in design, the building was completed in 1897 and houses the Supreme and High Courts. The clock tower, is affectionately dubbed “Big Ben”.
• Jamek Mosque
Indian Muslim inspired style of architecture featuring onion shaped domes built in 1909 stands at the confluence of Gombak and Klang Rivers where miners in search of tin first landed at Kuala Lumpur.
• Railway Station
Moorish inspired architecture built in 1910 and underwent extensive renovation in 1986
