Make dinner with Syrian chef Rania and her family

PichaEats is a food business aiming to rebuild lives of refugees in Malaysia by enabling refugees to cook from home and marketing their culinary skills to customers through PichaEats.

For the past 4 years, we have been partnering with 20 families, making sure that they can put food on the table, have a roof over their heads, and send their kids to school. Rania is 1 of them.

Rania fled war with her husband and son since 5 years ago from Syria. With no knowledge or understanding that Malaysia has no rights to work for refugees, they faced difficulties surviving in Malaysia. After being a part of PichaEats, Rania has been able to send her 7-year-old boy for education.

Itinerary

Rania makes delicious and authentic fattet magdoos, eggplant stuffed with minced lamb topped with yoghurt and tomato sauce. In this session, you’ll learn about the ingredients involved and the technique to make a good fattet magdoos. Dive into the shoes of a Syrian and taste different authentic cuisine like Biryani Rice and Fattoush salad after making your own fattet magdoos.
