Mount Kinabalu Climb 2D1N Package

Being the highest summit in Borneo island, standing at 4,095 meters (13,435 feet) Mount Kinabalu is relatively young and still growing at 5 mm a year. The natives of Sabah believes that the mountain is the sacred resting ground of the spirits of their ancestors.

Climbing Mount Kinabalu does not require special technical skills, however you would need to be relatively fit as the first day of the hike are mostly steps to the rest-house. The remaining 2 km hike up to the summit is more challenging, as the hike includes vertical steps and on bare granite rock, yet the results is rewarding with breathtaking view just being above the clouds.

Itinerary

Day 1: KOTA KINABALU – KINABALU NATIONAL PARK – KINABALU PANALABAN

Stop At: Taman Negara Gunung Kinabalu, Kundasang, Sabah., 89300 Ranau, Sabah, Malaysia
Get Pick up from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu city, transferred to the Mount Kinabalu base after the completion of registration, you will start climbing from Timpohon Gate to the mountain hut which is 6 km hike. Enjoy a scenic nature trail and mountain weather.

Rest upon check into your hut, as lights out will be early for the 2 am early morning hike to the summit.

Day 2: PANARLABAN – LOW’S PEAK SUMMIT – KINABALU PARK – KOTA KINABALU

Stop At: Mount Kinabalu, 88300 Malaysia
An early wake up for the summit hike, to be in time for the sunrise from the Low's Peak Summit. Descend back to your hut for breakfast, check-out at 10 am to hike back to Timpohon Gate where our team will be waiting to take you back to Kota Kinabalu City center.
