A Catholic church founded in the mid-1800's by French missionaries who would break their bullock cart journey from Kuala Lumpur in Seremban on their way to visit their flock in Malacca once every two months to receive confessions. These regular visitations may account for the Church's name. Officially established in 1848, it is the oldest parish in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur.
Originally, the priests would perform services in an attap hut. Later a proper church was built and the current building dates from 1899 with newer additions in 1935. The main church building with its neo-Gothic architecture is a landmark in the centre of Seremban town.
The present church complex includes the equally historical Parochial House, and the Visitation Hall and Formation Centres (both completed in 1996) and the Wisma Visitation (acquired in 2008).
