Penang jungle hike with dam and waterfall

The tour starts with a steep hike up to the Air Itam Dam with some excellent views over the dam and city. I will show an unspoiled part of Penang's jungle and waterfalls (Bukit Elvira Waterfall). We will enjoy the fresh and cool air of Penang. The forest trail is seldom hiked these days.

It's a hike everyone can do who has a with a descent health level.

Itinerary

We will hike steep up to the Air Itam Dam and from there we continue through the forest reserve. up in the hills. Initially it will be a proper although broken tar road but we will continue on a small forest track. On the trail we may find tortoises, crabs, squirrels and other animals (not guaranteed).

The road will lead us to the small but beautiful Bukit Elvira waterfall, where we can enjoy a moment of rest and dip our feet in the crystal clear water.

Once out of the forest we continue to a pass and from there back to the Air Itam Dam before going back we will walk via the Kek Lok Si temple to the original meeting point.

At the dam we will have some amazing views to George Town and the Kek Lok Si temple.
