Stop At: Trou aux Cerfs, Curepipe, Mauritius
Trou aux Cerfs is a dormant volcano located in Curepipe. The volcano has a cone and crater and experts believe that the volcano could become active in the coming thousand years. The Trou aux Cerfs is a popular tourist attraction considering that one can get a 360 degrees view of the Curepine and neighbouring from the crater of the volcano.

Stop At: Ganga Talao - Grand Bassin, Savanne District, Mauritius
Ganga Talao or the Grand Bassin is an important pilgrimage site. It is a natural lake within an extinct volcano crater. According to a mythological story it is believed that the water here is sourced from the sacred Ganges River in India. Taking a dip in this lake during the Shivratri festival is considered auspicious.
At the northern side of the lake, just a little away from the parking lot you will see a 108 feet tall statue of Lord Shiva, which is the second largest statue in the world. The tallest Lord Shiva statue at 120 feet is in New Delhi.

Stop At: Chamarels Seven Coloured Earth Geopark, Chamarel, Mauritius
Chamarel is a small village and a major tourist spot located in the south-western region of the country. What makes this place unique and a must-do in every travellers guidebook is the seven coloured layers of sand. It is a unique phenomenon that charms and attracts people from far and wide. The road to Chamarel is lined with sugarcane and pineapple plantations leading to a valley. It is a drive straight out of a movie scene.
Once you reach Chamarel, climb up the observation outpost and enjoy incredible views. As far as the eyes can see, there are sand dunes in unbelievable colours; yellow, red, brown, violet, purple, green and even blue. A natural phenomenon that takes your heart away with its sheer beauty.
Buy test tubes filled with seven coloured sands of Chamarel as a souvenir to keep memories of this natural wonder with you always.On your way back, a quick stop at the Chamarel waterfall and rum distilleries is recommended.

Stop At: Le Morne, Le Morne
Le Moren Brabant is essentially a peninsular located at the south-western tip of Mauritius. A popular tourist attraction, the Le Morne Brabant is instantly recognisable because of a monolith measuring 556 metres above sea level. The peak of the monolith is spread over an area of 12 hectares, covered in greenery and houses many caves.
This peninsula is surrounded by beautiful lagoons and is home to rare plants such as the Mandrinette and the BoucledOreille. Such is the splendor of the Le Moren Brabant that it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2008.
