Make Your Own Sterling Silver Stacking Rings-Beginners Soldering

I have designed all of my classes to be about 3-4 hours long, and I use basic tools that are accessible and affordable so that my students can easily take this new skill home and continue creating. This is a great way to get started with making jewelry without a huge financial or time commitment, and because it is just a one day class it easily fits in to your day between sightseeing. At the end of the class you have beautiful new jewelry to wear out and a great souvenir to take back home from your trip to San Miguel.

Itinerary

You will start at our workshop space in the Arts District of San Miguel, Colonia Guadalupe. This is a short, flat walk from the Jardin. You'll enjoy light refreshments while we chat a little for me to learn more about you and the style of jewelry you would like to make.

Then we will go over all of the different tools needed for soldering and a brief overview of the process. Next we will practice soldering on some small pieces before designing your own stacking rings and learning how to solder and then shape and add texture to them. Your new rings will be put into the tumbler to get all shiny strong before you take them home.
