San Mezcal mescalería is located one block from Parque Juarez in the historic district of charming San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. This mezcaleria has more than 100 different types of mezcals hailing from all around Mexico, providing a rich representation of the variations of the distillate.

In addition to the spoken information, we also provide some fun learning materials that you can take home with you, so you can easily remember what you learned!

Itinerary

We would learn about the origins of mezcal, it’s properties and characteristics, and all the different types of agave plants, how mezcal differs from tequila and why it is more natural and light.

We will be visiting San Mezcal, a local mezcaleria and taste 6 different types of mezcal. You can also choose to taste 3 mezcal and 3 tequilas or even have a more personalised tasting by choosing bacanora, sotol, or raicilla.
