Millennial City Cholula (Private)
Cholula is considered one of the oldest still inhabited cities in America, was founded about 3,500 years ago and became the second most important population of the region with its 100,000 inhabitants, just behind Tenochtitlan. It was also an important ceremonial center for Mesoamerican cultures resulting in the construction of a large number of temples. When the Spaniards arrived, they reported that, given the amount of religious monuments in the city, it reached one for each day of the year, giving rise to the myth that Cholula has 365 churches.
