TULUM

Walled city of the Mayan culture, it received in the antiquity the name of "Zamá" (which means in Maya "Dawn") and the current Tulum (which means in Maya "Wall"), was an important center of worship for the so-called " God descending ”and a commercial city, within it lived the nobility and the merchants lived. Hidden among the dense tropical rainforest, the ancestral city of Cobá stands, an archaeological site of the pre-Columbian Mayan culture located in southeastern Mexico. The meaning of Cobá could be Cob "What has moisture" or "Moss", ie "Water with Moss". One of its great attractions is the Nohoch Mul Pyramid, meaning in Maya (“Big Mound”), 42 meters high and 120 steps, an adventure that we can climb having as reward one of the most impressive panoramic views of the area.
