There are few things more magical in this world than watching a whale in its natural habitat. They are amazing creatures that adults and children alike can learn from through respectful observation. The waters of the Sea of Cortez are visited by thousands of whales that migrate yearly toward the warmer tides. At least six different types of whales spout and breach as they swim around the gulf. They include California grey whales, the finbacks, the humpbacks and the mighty blue whales – the largest animals to inhabit the earth. Whale watching is a favourite pastime, so keep your cameras poised.

Need to Know:
Note: Available from mid-December through mid-April only. Participants must be able to board the boat without assistance. Sightings are frequent, but not guaranteed.
