Day 1: Nomadic family member

Stop At: Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, Ulaanbaatar Mongolia

This tour to visit Mongolian nomadic family is a unique opportunity for people who travel to Mongolia to understand Mongolian culture and to see centuries-old nomadic lifestyle "from inside" and to live one day like Mongolian. At the end of this tour you will understand Mongolian nomadic mentality and typical Mongolian features much more and will get new Mongolian friends.

Drive to the mongolian local nomadic family near Ulaanbaatar. On the way we will be talking a lot about Mongolia, Mongolian nomadic culture and traditions, history and religion. In about an hour's drive we will be guests of the nomadic family. Kindness and hospitality are an integral part of the Mongolian nomadic lifestyle, with guests treated with the utmost respect. As a guest you’ll be offered airag (fermented dairy product traditionally made from mare's milk), khiitstei milk tea (milk tea slightly thickened with fried wheat flour) and also national dish Khorkhog (Mongolian barbecue). Fresh air meal Khorkhog is a delicious and favourite dish of the local people. Khorkhog cooked only on the street through heating stones, so you’re more likely to come across it in a home rather than a restaurant. You can spend time depending on your preferences. Options are below:
- Horseback riding
- Milk a goat or cow
- Help produce dietary products
- Play the traditional Shagai (anklebone or knucklebone) games, derived and spread among Mongolians since early times.
- Help make Mongolian traditional most respected meal buuz (steamed dumpling)
- Learn about unique design, structure and practical features of ger, Mongolian traditional accommodation

Day 2: Drive back to city
