With this tour you can see Mongolian beautiful nature, unique nomadic traditions and vast starry sky without traveling hundreds of kilometers away from the city. Located just 60kms (37 miles) outside the city, Terelj National Park is ideal for those who wants to experience Mongolian countryside in short amount of time. The highlights of this tour are star gazing opportunity at our Deluxe Ger Camp “Terelj Star” and befriending local nomadic family.

Itinerary

Day 1: Terelj National Park (60kms)

Pass By: Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, Ulaanbaatar Mongolia
Meet up with your guide at the hotel in the morning and transfer to Terelj National Park which is famous for its peculiar rock formations such as Giant Turtle Rock. Visit Aryapal Temple and Meditation center located in the remote mountain and enjoy beautiful sceneries of the area. Then proceed check-in to Terelj Star Resort and have a lunch. After lunch visit local nomadic family, learn about their distinct lifestyle and ride a horse for about an hour. In the evening you can enjoy many of the free activities at our resort such as Mongolian archery, hiking in the nearby hills, trying on traditional Mongolian Clothes etc.

But the highlight of the day comes at night. As Mongolia has clear skies for about 250 days a year, it’s ideal for star gazing as well as night sky photography opportunities. At our resort we turn off all the camp lights for star gazing during cloudless and moonless nights. We also have a telescope at our resort, available for using at the small fee. Enjoy hearty dinner and rest in a comfortable ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 2: Back to Ulaanbaatar

Pass By: Ulaanbaatar Department Store, Peace Avenue-57 Sukhbaatar district, Ulaanbaatar 14250 Mongolia
After relaxing morning transfer back to Ulaanbaatar and conclude the tour with drop-off at the hotel or your preferred point.
