TOUR FROM KOTOR TO PERAST

This excursion / tour includes a panoramic drive along the road to the Boka bay with a break in Herceg Novi and Perast old town. There is a possibility to take a taxi boat and visit the island of Our Lady of the Rock, the 17th century church with the same name.

PERAST

The delightful small town of Perast is eight miles northeast of Kotor in the Bay of Kotor.The town was in existence as far back as the early 14th century but sprang to fame in the mid-18th century when it was the base for large fleet.The prosperity of those times is refected in the number of magnificent villas formerly owned by wealthy sea captains.

Not to be missed are the Maritime Museum and the Church of St. Nicholas.The Baroque Church of Our Lady of the Rocks is on a man made island in the bay and is renowned for its many 17th century paintings, of which the most fomous one is Death of the Virgin.St.George's Church is also on an island in the bay.
