The highlights of this sensational round trip through the land of 1001 Nights are the four imperial cities. Day 1: Airport Transfer from Casablanca or Marrakech, to the accommodation

At the airport you will be met by your driver, who will escort you to the hotel. Welcome with tea a la Menthe, by your German tour operator. Depending on the arrival time, you have the opportunity for first explorations in Marrakech.

Day 2: Marrakech, guided visit

After a leisurely breakfast you will be picked up in front of your hotel for a guided sightseeing tour and we will visit Bahia Palace, Badiie Palace, Saadien Tomboux, Kasbah and Bab Agnou, Koutoubia Mosque, Garden Majorelle or Park Lalla Hasna, Djemaa El Fnaa Hanged is named, as well as some of the famous souks.

Day 3: High Atlas, Ait Ben Haddou, Quarzazate
Stop At: Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, Douar Ait Ben Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou 45000 Morocco
We drive over one of the most scenic routes in Morocco, the Tizi Tichka (2260 m) pass. After many photo stops we reach the place Ait Ben Haddou, where you visit one of the most magnificent Kasbahs of Morocco. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and served as a backdrop in numerous Holywood productions. Its reddish-brown walls are a great example of the traditional mud-building architecture of the Berbers. Guided tour of the historic Kasbah. Ait Ben Haddou is on the road of a thousand kasbahs. Green oases, palm groves and the typical reddish-brown Berber villages convey the charm of this region. In Quarzazate you have the opportunity to visit the Museum of Cinema and the Kasbah Taourirt. Day 4: Skoura, El Kalaa Magouna, Dades Gorge

After breakfast we continue the round trip towards Skoura. At the Kasbah Amridil (admission optional) we take a break.
On the way you discover an oasis in the valley of the roses, in El Kalaa Magouna.
On a section of the route, the road runs upstream up the Dadès, with steep hairpin bends, beautiful Berber villages, date palms and kasbahs. The Dades rises in the High Atlas and winds in a deep canyon down to the impressive rock formation Dadès Gorge. Continue through wild and romantic landscape, via Tingehir we reach the Todra gorge. We spend the night near the Todra Gorge

Day 5: Todra Gorge, Rissani, Merzouga
Stop At: Rissani Market, Souk Rissani - Merzouga, Rissani 52450 Morocco
After breakfast, we take a walk through the imposing Todra Gorge with its steep cliffs. Later we do a little hike in the nearby Palm Oasis.
Through a varied landscape we drive towards Merzouga. Along beautiful palm groves we pass rustic Berber villages until we reach Tinjdad. Here is a break scheduled for a visit to the Museum of Bensaid (admission optional), or just to enjoy a thè à la menthe.
Continuing on via Erfoud and Rissani we reach Merzouga in the late afternoon. We visit a Gnoua family, who presents us a traditional musical folklore performance. We ride the camper into the sunset on dromedaries and spend a night at the Luxury Berber Camp. At the campfire and Berber music we let the day end.

Day 6: Erg Chebbi
Stop At: Merzouga Desert, Merzouga Morocco
Early risers enjoy a colorful sunrise in the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
A day in the Sahara, according to your ideas. We go for a hike, but maybe it's just nice to sunbathe on a sand dune and enjoy the colors of the Sahara and the warmth? The second night at Erg Chebbi is also spent at the Luxury Desert Camp.

Day 7: Errachidia, Midelt

After experiencing the colorful sunrise and having breakfast in the sunshine, we set off for the Moyen Atlas. About 40 km before Errachidia, the fertile valley narrows to the steep gorge, Gorge du Ziz. Day 8: Ifran, Fez

After breakfast we drive to the Ifrane National Park. On a walk through the forest of the Atlas cedars, we will experience first hand the Barbary apes in their natural habitat.
In the tranquil town of Ifrane we walk together through the European-looking place. We follow the road through a forest area to Imouzzer, where we take a short break and maybe enjoy a coffee noir or a Thè a la Menthe in a typical sidewalk cafe. Towards evening we reach the oldest royal city. In Fes two nights are planned.

Day 9: Fez guided city tour
Stop At: Fez Mellah, Fes Morocco
After your leisurely breakfast we drive to the mountain of the south, with fantastic panoramic views of the medina of Fes. With a local guide you will visit the historic buildings and the Medina, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the artisan district of the medina we observe the artisans in the traditional production of their goods. Potter, tanner, chiseller, coppersmith, tailor, ect .... Cozy cafes and restaurants invite you to linger.

Day 10: Volubilis, Meknes

On the way to Meknes we visit the Roman excavation Volubilis. It shows the best preserved excavations from Roman times in North Africa and was named UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. On a fertile plateau we reach the royal city of Meknes, which is known for its 40 km long city walls in loam construction. In the medina they stroll through colorful souks and visit among others the most impressive city portal of Morocco, the Bab El Mansour. In between, cozy Moroccan cafes invite you to linger.

Day 11: Rabat

Today we reach the state capital of Morocco, Rabat. With a local guide you will visit the mausoleum of King Mohamed V with the imposing Hassan Tower, the Oudaya Kasbah and the Gardens of the Royal Palace.

Day 12: Casablanca, El Jadida
Stop At: Le Port d'El Jadida, Avenue de Suez, El Jadida 24000 Morocco
Casablanca is the most important industrial and commercial center and with 3 million inhabitants the largest city in Morocco and a modern metropolis. After the city tour you will visit the Hassan II mosque. The square giant minaret rises 200 meters and is thus the highest sacred building in the world. Non-Muslims are also allowed to visit the mosque, except on Friday. (Guide optional).
Medina and "Ricks Cafe", which was modeled after the world-famous classic "Casablanca".
We drive on to the elite El Jadida. What do you choose - beach or culture? The medina is completely surrounded by a walkable city wall. A tour leads from the entrance gate over the four bastions around the entire, built in Portuguese time fortress around. Day 13: Safi, Essaouira

In Oualidia we take a break and visit the "Gardens of the Lagoon". In the fish restaurants of the lagoon fresh fish is prepared.
After lunch we follow the wild and romantic Atlantic coast to Safi. A local guide shows us the historic old town with its ancient buildings. The Portuguese fortress Ksar el Bahar, Grande Mosquée, Chapelle Portugaise, Borj ed Dar.
Shortly before Essaouira, the biosphere reserve of the UNESCO begins for argan trees. This protected since 1998 area of the last argan trees covers 820,000 hectares in the southwest of Morocco. Also, the traditional craftsmanship of the precious argan oil is under the protection of UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity and is therefore presented to the guests in the "Women's Cooperative for Argan Oil".

Day 14: Essaouira

Essaouiera is surrounded by a well-preserved mud wall, which contrasts with the whitewashed houses, with their blue shutters. Since 2001, the Medina Essaouira's, the former Mogador, is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our sightseeing tour with a local guide starts in the morning at the fishing port. The fishermen have just arrived and offer their rich catch. There is much exotic to discover and from the city wall you can enjoy a fantastic panorama. The medina is a shopper's paradise for silver, Berber jewelery, fabrics, and a variety of handicrafts is offered in the small shops of the lively lanes. Next to the city are the most beautiful beaches of Morocco.
