Day 1: Fes - Middle Atlas Mountains - The Sahara Desert

Stop At: Merzouga Desert, Merzouga Morocco
7.30 am Pick up from hotel/Riad for the fabulous journey up into the Middle Atlas mountains. Your first stop will be at the delightful town of Ifrane, built by the French in the 1930s, and known as Morocco's Switzerland because of its Alpine chalet-style architecture and aspect. Next cedar forests.
Then, passing through the Atlas Mountains, that are said to hold up the sky, winding your way through forested peaks, twisting mountain streams and gushing springs and spectacular, jagged walls of rock, at Midelt you will have a break for lunch , you will arrive at the important, and Sahara's edge town of Rissani, after that, continuing on south, you will be amazed at the startlingly sudden appearance, as if by magic, of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. These dunes are massive, up to 50 meters in height and extend eastwards all the way into the Algerian Sahara. Then enjoy an unforgettable camel trekking experience into the breathtaking sunset as you travel through the shifting sands before you arrive at a traditional Berber desert encampment to spend the night in a charming tent, surrounded by the mountainous dunes. Chill out and enjoy a delicious dinner while listening to the sweet strains of traditional Berber music until it is time to sleep underneath the myriad of glittering stars, so many and so bright that you feel you could almost reach out and touch them.

Day 2: Transfer From merzouga to Marrakech

Stop At: Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, Douar Ait Ben Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou 45000 Morocco
wake up early to enjoy the sunrise on the Sahara dunes. After that, ride camel back to the hotel for delicious breakfast. Then, be ready for an amazing drive to Marrakech passing by Todra Gorges, Kelaat Mgouna, Dades Valley, Sakura, Ouarzazate. lunch, at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, continue our trip crossing High Atlas Mountains, Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 m in altitude) while enjoying superb views and Berber Villages on the way.

18:00 On arrival to Marrakech, transfer to Hotel/Riad. End of Fez Marrakech Sahara Desert Tour 1 Night 2 Days.
