2 days trekking from Chefchaouen to Akchour
Day 1: Chefchaouen à Azilane
Start of trekking, today's trek will be Chefchaouen - Azilane (7 hours), through the upper valley of Tissouka. Cedars, junipers, and endemic if trees. Views of the natural park of Bouhachem and surrounding villages. A picnic to rest and recharge your strength after 3 hours of trekking. After the stop we will go down to the village of Afeska to continue to our rural Gite in Azilane. They will be waiting for us with a local tea with medicinal plants. Accommodation at the rural house.
Day 2: Azilane - God's bridge - Chefchaouen
The tour will begin with a path that runs at the foot of Jbel Abdoun through a splendid forest of cedars and pines. The geological formations there are spectacular and the forest is beautiful. With a pinch of luck you can observe monkeys that populate this area.
A guide will introduce you to the composition of regional fauna and flora. We will follow our way to Akchour. Transfer to Chaouen by a taxi.

The central square of Chefchaouen is full of restaurants at a good price for lunch or dinner. It is a fairly large square where there is plenty of life. In this square is the Kasbah (fortress) and the first mosque of the city.

Small and quiet, the Chefchaouen Cemetery points to the remnants of a once vibrant culture. Visitors may notice that many of the tombs have inscriptions written in Arabic
Pass By: Kasbah Museum, Medina Avenue Hassan II, Chefchaouen 91000 Morocco
The kasbah is a heavily restored walled fortress that now contains a lovely garden, a small ethnographic museum, and an even smaller art gallery. The ethnographic museum contains some fascinating views of old Chefchaouen, including the plaza and the kasbah; the gallery promotes the work of local artists. The views from the kasbah tower over the medina are a delight.

Constructed in the 15th century, Chefchaouens Grande Mosque was built on the orders of Moulay Mohamed Ben Ali Ben Rachid, the son of the citys founder. It features an octagonal minaret, which is somewhat unusual when compared to the many square minarets that generally tower over the nations myriad mosques. The shape was influenced by Andalusian styles, brought to the country by Muslims from Spain. Built from stone, the shades of brown and beige are juxtaposed against the nearby blue and white buildings. Admiring the mosque is among the top things to do in the city. Do note that non-Muslim visitors are not permitted to enter the mosque.

Stop At: Talassemtane National Park, Chefchaouen Morocco
The name means cold spring in Berber. Some popular destinations include the small villages of El Kelaâ and Akchour, and Gods Bridge, a natural formation that looks like a stone arch. The duration of these excursions depends on how much you wish to drive versus walk.

Day 2: Azilane - Bridge of God - Akchour

We will visit and stop by the famous bridge of God of Akchour.
Duration: 30 minutes

There are a number of geological formations to enjoy on your way to the bridge and even the rolling countryside to take photos of. You will reach Gods Bridge during the day, but you will want to stay for sunset. The bridge is a red rock formation which shines best during the setting sun.

Stop At: Pont de Dieu - Akchour, Pont de Dieu, Akchour, Morocco
There are a number of geological formations to enjoy on your way to the bridge and even the rolling countryside to take photos of. You will reach Gods Bridge during the day, but you will want to stay for sunset. The bridge is a red rock formation which shines best during the setting sun.

Stop At: Akchour, Morocco
We will arrive to the village of Akchour where we can take lunch or just a mint tea next to the river
Duration: 30 minutes

We will take this route to go back to Chefchaouen City
