Excursion Zagora Dunes and Draa Valley for 2 days

Zagora is dominated by the Jebel Zagora, and has a vast palm grove. It is the starting point for many hikes in the area. She is also known for her many kasbahs.

The weekly souk (Sunday) is the meeting place of the inhabitants of the different villages upstream of the city (Beni Zouli, Tazarine, Tafroudest, Oulad El Haj) and downstream (Beni Khellouf, etc.), with a vegetable market and a big cattle market.

Itinerary

Day 1:  Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Zagora

Stop At: Zagora, Zagora, Souss-Massa-Draa Region
Departure early in the morning, we will cross the High Atlas and reach the Tizi N'Tichka pass, 2260 meters high. Continuation to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, we will visit this wonderful Ksar which is registered with the world heritage of Unesco. Several movies are shot in this setting: the mommy, Gladiator, Seven years in Tibet, Babel ... After lunch in front of Ksar continuation to Zagora along the Draa Valley, almost uninterrupted oasis ... 5 km after Zagora, hiking in camel back of about 1 hour, in an environment of exceptional nature, where the air is so pure, that the sight and the sounds carry hundreds of kilometers, where there is a silence that nothing disturbs, where the we could hear ourselves thinking ... We will witness the sunset, dinner and overnight in Zagora.

After breakfast, discover the palm grove and its population, a rich and diverse cultural heritage ... lunch in Ouarzazate and orientation tour of the city (Taourirt Kasbah and Film Studios) then return to Marrakech via the pass from Tichka.
