This 3-day expedition in the Sahara to Merzouga Erg Chebbi Expedition is a rewarding tour in southern Morocco and one of the best things to do in and around Marrakech. Join your local guide for the unique experience of a camel ride through the dunes of the Erg Chebbi Desert on this two-day trip across the Sahara. Then enjoy a traditional tajine and sweet tea with mint before camping under the stars in a Berber tent. Breakfast, dinner and all transport in air-conditioned minivan are included.

JOUUR1
Your excursion will begin at 7:20 in Marrakech and continue towards the Dades Gorge. You will first travel by road and make a first stop in the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The next stop will be Ouarzazate, "the desert gate" for lunch and exploration. At the end of the day, you will finally reach the valley of the Dades Gorge, where you can enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner. Spend the night in a small hotel or hostel and admire an extraordinary view of the valley landscape.
Note: During the second weekend of May and the last two days is held the famous Rose Festival, so if you have the chance to travel through at this time, you can enjoy it!
Day2
Your second day will begin with a traditional Moroccan lunch at the hostel before preparing for departure to the Saharan village of Merzouga via the Toudra Gorge. On the way you will discover many Berber villages and colorful landscapes of the region. The crossing of the Toudra Gorge is 300 meters above the river, so be careful when you look down! Lunch will take place on the road, then you will arrive at the city of Erfoud; well known for its marine fossils that date back hundreds of millions of years. As soon as the evening approaches, you can enjoy a camel ride of 1 hour and a half to Merzouga, where you can admire the beautiful sunset descend behind the sand dunes. To end this beautiful day, you can enjoy a nice dinner in a camp under the stars of the sky of Merzouga.
DAY 3
The third day you wake up at 6:30 to watch the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, which is certainly the best time in the desert of Merzouga to take pictures! You can also enjoy a typical Berber breakfast in the camp before returning by camel to the hostel in Merzouga for a shower. You will then travel to Marrakech via the incredible Draa Valley, passing through Tazzarine, Agdz and Ouarzazate, and traveling through the eternal pass of Tizi n'Tichka and its panoramic views.
