Hiking - Two Days and One Night in the High Atlas among Nomads

Take a break from the tourist trail and discover the High Atlas Mountains at a slower pace.
On this beautiful two-day loop hike, you'll walk from the Todgha Gorges to nomad camps high in the Todgha Massif. You'll discover spectacular landscapes and meet the people who have lived in these areas for thousands of years.
This two-day hike includes accommodation in a nomad camp, all meals, and an experienced guide. As accommodation is rustic and nights can be cold in the High Atlas, please bring a sleeping bag.

At nine o'clock departure from Tizgui the last village before the Todra gorges.

At first we cross the Todra gorges and after these we take a small path which are going to the top of the gorges.

After about 2 hours walk we stop to drink tea with a nomad family.

We walk 1 hour more and we stop to eat our picnic.

After this we walk about 2 hours more and stop in a Nomad camp for the night.

We leave the Nomad camp after the breakfast and we walk about 3 hours before the lunch.

After we come back to Tizgui for the afternoon tea, in a very friendly family before we leave them, it is about 4 pm.

The walking time is approximately 5 hours per day.

The elevation is about 800m accrued for 2days and we start at 1400m.
