Marrakech Magical Desert Adventure 3 day 2 night private tours in 4 WD

3 days tour, from Marrakech to the colored dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga and back. Passing through the mountains of the High Atlas with its characteristic villages scattered on the slopes, made of mud and straw, we will travel the 1000 kasbah road to the wild pink dunes of the Sahara. Return to the Red City (Marrakech) following the ancient caravan route along the Draa Valley and its lush palm groves.

Traveling with a private tour, you can follow your mood, stop when you want to take pictures, drink a mint tea or just take a walk outdoors and enjoy the scenery, perhaps listening to the (authentic) stories that the your guide will tell you. Itinerary

Day 1: MARRAKECH, AIT BEN HADDOU, VALLEY OF THE DADES.

Stop At: Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, Douar Ait Ben Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou 45000 Morocco
Departure from your riad in Marrakech in the morning to cross the unique landscape of the High Atlas mountain range, through the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2260 m). Along the Imini valley we will reach the famous Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will stop for lunch and for the next visit.
Duration: 6 hours

Stop At: Gorges du Dades, R704 Gorges Dades, Boumalne Dades 45350 Morocco
After the sight of the Ksar, we will continue towards the Dades Valley and the road of the Thousand Kasbahs, along the palm grove of the Valley of the Roses, famous for its preparations based on essences extracted from Rosa Damaschena, which grows only in Morocco. We will reach Dades in the late afternoon. Overnight stay and dinner in a nice hotel or guesthouse.

Day 2: DADES VALLEY, TODRA GORGES, MERZOUGA DESERT (ERG CHEBBI)

Stop At: Gargantas del Todra, Tinghir, Tinerhir 45800 Morocco
After breakfast, departure for the Todra Gorges, the highest in Morocco (300m). Along the way we can stop at will to photograph the most spectacular views of this impressive rocky landscape. We will also be able to take a pleasant walk in the palm grove, to see what is being cultivated and how it is irrigated, and finally enjoy a fresh tea with a Berber family. We then continue towards Touroug for lunch and to visit an interesting ancient irrigation system.

Stop At: Merzouga Desert, Merzouga Morocco
After the visit we will head straight towards Merzouga where we can store our luggage in a hotel room at the foot of the dunes. And so an unforgettable camel ride will take us right into the middle of the dunes. The typical overnight stay and dinner will be in a Berber camp, under a starry sky.

Day 3:  DESERT, DRAA VALLEY, MARRAKECH.

Stop At: Rissani Market, Souk Rissani - Merzouga, Rissani 52450 Morocco
If you want to get up early, you can enjoy the enchanting sunrise that paints the sand dunes, up to 250 meters high, of Erg Chebbi. Then you will leave by camel to the hotel where you can enjoy a hearty Moroccan breakfast and cool off in your room. We leave towards west towards Ouarzazate, passing through many characteristic villages along the Draa Valley, such as Rissani (famous for its market), Alnif, Tazarine and Nkob. We will walk along the ancient caravan route that runs along the course of the Draa, strewn with thousands of ancient that give the landscape a touch of fairy tale. Lunch in an ancient 16th century kasbah.

Stop At: Anti-Atlas Mountains, Morocco
After prnazo we take the road back to Marrakech through the fascinating landscape of the mountains of the Anti-Atlas, of volcanic origin, and of the High Atlas, with the characteristic villages of straw and mud. Arrival scheduled for late afternoon.
