This will only be a taste of Morocco, but certainly a good reason to go back to discovering other routes.
The route starts and ends in Marrakech, we will cross the Agafay desert to reach the Lalla Takerkoust lake and then the Ouirgane lake.
The Agafay is a desert of rocky dunes that a few kilometers from Marrakech offers the chance to try off-road driving and to live the experience in nothing and in the silence that only the desert can give.
On the last day, a visit to the city of Marrakech, we will immerse ourselves in the maze of narrow streets of the souk that magically converge on the Djemaa El Fna square, without forgetting to try the typical Moroccan cuisine.
PROGRAM
Day 1: Arrival by plane to Marrakech in the morning, handling formalities and collecting the bikes. We will leave for Lalla Takerkoust Lake, where we will stop for lunch. The lake takes its name from a woman recognized as a saint for her kindness and for her power to help women procreate. From the shores we will drink a mint tea while admiring the majestic Atlas mountains reflected in the clear waters of the lake. In this place we will also begin to know the Agafay desert. We will then continue to Lake Ouirgane which is located in the High Atlas mountains at about 1000 meters above sea level in the heart of the Toubkal national park. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: We will leave the lake to return to the Agafay desert. This rocky desert is a good option if you don't have time to go south to where the high sand dunes of Erg Chebbi or Erg Chegaga are. During spring you can admire the blooming of wild flowers, the rest of the year the soil is dry and arid. Here you can test your skills in off-road driving but always in complete safety. Dinner and overnight stay in a beautiful tented camp that will offer the opportunity to experience the solitude of the desert and the contemplation of a sky full of stars.
Day 3: After breakfast we will leave for Marrakech driving a few kilometers off-road. Marrakech, the second largest city in Morocco and is also known as the Red City for the color of its walls and its buildings. Its position at the foot of the Atlas gives it a wonderful climate. We will go to the discovery of the labyrinth of souks with its characteristic shops where to shop ... remember to always negotiate the price !!! At sunset, don't miss a cup of tea on one of the café terraces of Djemaa El Fna Square from where you can admire the stalls selling food. Return of motorcycles. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Breakfast, transfer to the airport. Return flight.
